THE BLACK LEAGUE Set Release Date For New Album

November 17, 2003

Finland's THE BLACK LEAGUE, the band featuring former SENTENCED frontman Taneli Jarva, have set a January 12 European release date through Spinefarm Records subsidiary Ranch for their third full-length album, "Man's Ruin Revisited". A single, entitled "Cold Women & Hot Beer" (backed with a cover of "Hot Wheels" by the Finnish rock legends HURRIGANES),will surface in early December.

The follow-up to 2001's "Utopia A.D." was recorded at Seawolf Studios in Suomenlinna (just outside Helsinki) and will contain the following tracks, among others:

01. The Healer
02. Crooked Mile
03. Steal Your Heart
04. Lost in the Shadows (I Walk Alone)
05. Mad Ol' Country
06. Alive and Dead
07. Black Water Fever
08. Cold Women & Hot Beer

In other news, THE BLACK LEAGUE were forced to cancel their previously announced Dec. 3 gig at Club 45 Special in Oulu after Jarva "severely" injured his leg. The show will be rescheduled for early next year and will serve as a "release party" of sorts, according to a post on the band's web site.
